Basil Pesto

Servings: 1 1/2 cups


  • 1 oz fresh basil, leaves only

  • 1 handful parsley, leaves and small stems only

  • 1 cup almonds, roasted and unsalted

  • 3 garlic cloves

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/2 cup + 1 tablespoon canola oil (or other non-flavored oil)


1. Combine all ingredients except for the oil in a food processor fitted with a metal blade.

2. Begin to process the contents, then slowly pour in the oil* as the machine is running.

*Tip: If you prefer your pesto with a more liquid consistency, add more oil as you see fit.
